A group of ten of us have just returned from a weekend away at Le Gro Barns.
We had a fantastic time there with great hosts in Phil and Tracey (The owners).
Phil was responsible largely for building the two guest houses as well as many of the features inside including wardrobes, the main stairs etc. This really adds to the authenticity of the cottages knowing that the owners had such a fundamental part to play.
The buildings themselves are impressive and have been constructed to a very high specification. As you can see from the pictures on the main tripadvisor page, no expense has been spared, this really is a 5 star place in terms of fittings and fixtures with under floor heating, individual room thermostat control, triple glazing to name but a few. Apart from all these mod cons, there are also nice touches with the traditional wood fire, bbq outside usage, exposed brick walls etc. For those that need their fix of Facebook and internet there is also free wifi in both buildings.
The surrounding area around the guesthouses is beautiful with some gorgeous scenery as well as a brook nearby.
